For students enrolled in the Campus, the Municipal Administration has made available some accommodations which are located in a residential area within the Caserma Neve Campus, with green areas and tree-lined paths and is just a few minutes' walk from Piacenza's train station.
The accommodation, some of which is adapted for people with disabilities, is modern and fully furnished. There are different types of flats:
- three-bed flats, consisting of three single rooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room;
- one or two-bed flats, consisting of a bedroom, kitchen, living room and bathroom.
The charges are:
- 160,00 Euros per month, for one bed in a double room including payment of the property service charges (water, cleaning common areas, light in the stairs, etc.);
- 210,00 Euros per month, for one bed in a single room including payment of the property service charges (water, cleaning common areas, light in the stairs, etc.).
In addition to these fees, further 40.00 Euros (QA) per month must be paid by the users of the accommodations as advance payment for heating and electricity consumption, which will be reported at the end of the rent according to the consumptions shown by the single meters.
The assignment of accommodation takes place through an annual competition notice that will be published in the home page of Piacenza Campus' website.
Access to accommodation is decided on the basis of economic circumstances, merit and distance from the place of residence. In addition, by joining the "Vicinato Solidale" project at the time of submitting the application, students must make themselves available to devote 3 hours a week, of social aid to rest homes or the Caritas canteen for a period of ten months. They are not asked to do care tasks, but to provide support such as shopping, running errands and keeping people company.
A special committee will select the student to whom the accommodation will be assigned. The selection will take account of the following criteria: results achieved in studies, financial situation and distance of the Campus from place of residence.
