Degree award "Rotary Sant’Antonino per la Sostenibilità"

An award intended for laurea magistrale (equivalent to M.Sc.) graduates from the Politecnico di Milano

For the A.Y. 2023/2024 the Rotary Sant’Antonino Piacenza provides the degree award Rotary Sant’Antonino per la Sostenibilità.

The Degree Award has a gross value of € 2.712,50 and is intended for laurea magistrale (equivalent to M.Sc.) graduates from the Politecnico di Milano who meet the following requirements at the deadline of the call:

  1. Having graduated in the July, September, December 2024 or April 2025 sessions;
  2. Having obtained a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) degree score of not less than 100/110;
  3. Having developed an original Thesis with relevant scientific value in one of the following areas:
  • CO2 capture from industrial processes;
  • Technologies, processes and models for the sustainable management of waste and residues;
  • Technologies, processes and models for the sustainable use of biomass;
  • Models and instruments for the management of Smart Energy Systems;
  • Technologies, models and evaluations for improving air quality;
  • Architectural and landscape enhancement of energy installations;
  • Sustainable urban regeneration projects;
  • Regeneration projects for degraded landscapes experimenting with innovative solutions for climate, environment, energy, transport, industry and agriculture;
  • Urban and spatial strategies to cope with the climate crisis.
  • Although not essential, having developed the thesis in the context of projects or research pursued by the Laboratorio Energia e Ambiente Piacenza (LEAP) will be an element of positive evaluation.

Applicants must submit their application from July 30th, 2024 and by June 27th, 2025 at 12.00 pm (Italian time) by means of the specific function available from the Online Services (Subsidies and Conventions > Scholarships, Degree awards, exonerations). Applicants must attach through the appropriate procedure their thesis in pdf format, maximum 15MB.

The awarding of the Degree Award is decided on the basis of a ranking drawn up by a Selection Committee appointed by managerial decree after the deadline of the Call for applications. In formulating the ranking, the Committee will decide on the basis of the attached Degree Thesis.
The degree award cannot be combined with other awards received from the Politecnico di Milano for the same Degree Thesis, but it can be combined with other forms of financial aid provided by the Politecnico for the academic year of reference of this Call, with contributions for international mobility provided by the Politecnico or other public or private entities. The award may also be combined with exemptions from tuition fees and contributions.
