LEAP (Energy and Environment Laboratory Piacenza) carries out applied research, experimentation, development and transfer of energy technologies with high efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
The LEAP was created to meet some of the challenges related to energy-environmental issues: thermal energy generation; material and energy recovery from biomass, waste and residues; the use of fossil fuels with CO2 capture, analysis and modelling of energy systems; renewable energy and energy efficiency; air quality, gaseous emissions and fine dust.
